Muscles flexed as the hammer I brought down
As sweat trickled down my brow I did frown
Reached for the glue to touch up here and there
I stood back admiring the work done with care
“It looks beautiful,” behind me she drawled
“Come, you need to cool down,” out she called
Over my chest sensually she ran her pinky finger
Unexpected fire building inside me did linger
In my pocket hastily my tools I did shove
Pencils, ruler, screws, the glue tube in they dove
In my left pocket in a hurry all I did squeeze
Patting the special tube that will later please
In the bedroom we joined my overalls on the floor
I drilled and hammered as she begged for more
The tube I then needed for my bit to bore slickly
I reached for the tube and applied some thickly
No squeaks, no rust, just wickets aching to be free
On her knees, on all four for more she did plea
As I drilled, nailed and hammered the afternoon away
In the sweet ecstasy I wished longer I could stay
Abruptly I heard the front door unlocking
His untimely return was rather shocking
“Honey I forgot my bullets,” downstairs he did shout
“The hunting season I don’t want to miss out.”
My overalls with sawdust not on the hook
From the floor snatch them and flee like a crook
From her sweaty body I then tried to pull
Can’t move, puzzled I looked at her like a fool
The more I pulled in tighter knots I got
The sticky chaos making the room oh so hot
Like quicksand I sank deeper with each heave
In the terrible nightmare I wished I could leave
His heavy steps now steadily approaching
Under the table I wished I were crouching
What went wrong, as I pulled I wondered
Why are we stuck, about I floundered
In my overalls pockets poking out then I see
Pencils, rulers - no glue tube, no it can’t be
Saying my last prayers as I was fazed
At the glue tube above me agape I gazed
Frantic I became realizing there was no getting out
His forgotten bullets I will be the first to eat no doubt
Today I surely will be his catch of the day
For poaching and trespassing my sins I will pay
